Maya
She/her
Dynamic VINYASA, YIN, Restorative, Yoga Nidra
Maya offers movement and rest practices, and has just moved to St. Leonards from London, to be closer to the sea and natural surroundings.
She is most passionate about helping people feel at home in their bodies, encouraging curiosity over perfection, and giving equal space for rest and play within the practice. Her classes offer creative flowing sequences, moments of nervous system reset, and a soft Scottish accent.
She has trained with Calli Popham and the Embodied Beings in Embodied Vinyasa, Pip Roberts in Restorative and Yiga Nidra, and Norman Blair in Yin and Meridians. Her teaching blends these influences, focusing on sensation over form, and encouraging intuitive movement, with lots of space for stillness.
She has been teaching in London and abroad for the past 3 years, most often on retreats with The Wild Times. For Maya, yoga is a way to explore the spectrum of human experience, creating space for deeper connection with ourselves, each other, and the world around us, both on and off the mat.
